Jeff Lashkoff Gerald (Hope I didn't miss anybody) The crew met at the Grill at 8:30am and departed at 9:30am for the Trout Farm in Felton. This had to be the best weather day for a ride so far this year. The group headed west onto Hwy 92, caught US 280 south to Hwy 85 south. The Mt. Hermon exit dropped us into Felton for a fuel stop, and then headed a little further to the Trout Farm. Thanks to Dave and his great navigation system, we found our way to Graham Rd. and to the Farm (not to mention a Posse-style left hand turn to get onto Graham Rd). Rick, Liz and Ray headed out with the Ghosties Pack ride, while the rest of the group picked an alternate route to travel. This was a spectacular day for a scenic ride through the Santa Cruz mountains. The Summit Rd. portion of the ride provided an impressive view, while navigating on a single lane road. As we headed back to Boulder Creek on Hwy 9, we saw the Posse heading north in the opposite lane. We arrived at Camp Krem to have a great luncheon and witness the unusal bike burnout competition. The Harley bikes provide an impressive showdown againt a rice burner, which ultimately blew its rear tire. Harley-Davison remained the Champion. The ride home was the usual Hwy 9/Skyline and back to San Mateo. Respectfully submitted, Rick S. |
