As my ridding partner is much better writer than I am, I'll try and keep this short.
We deiced to start at night as to miss traffic on both ends of the trip and it worked out pretty good. We headed up north via hwy 80 to 505 to 5 and in no time we were Oregon. Now ridding through Oregon seemed like it took forever. It could have been the fact that I was frozen to my bike. The freezing cold and eight feet of snow aside it was a very beautiful morning ridding through the hills.
We stopped for breakfast in some half truck stop half hillbilly town in Oregon. We must have stuck out like sore frozen thumbs because it seemed that every time I looked up the locals were checking us out. We did get a chance along the way to stop for a few photo ops, not many but a few, don't worry we got each other's permission to take pictures.
When we finally arrived in Idaho, it seemed again as if we stuck out like sore it might have been the Thousands of bugs I had plastered to the bike and myself it might have been the Thousands of bugs I had plastered to the bike and myself but after a few minutes and thirty more bikes we realized we were the ONLY two riders wearing helmets!! That and our patches might have stood out as well. We stopped at a five star dinning establishment (Blimpie's), to have a bit to eat and decide on whether to nap or ride on. decide on whether to nap or ride on.
