April Fools Ride (April 4th 2009)
We rode to the Top of Mount Diablo. Awesome views and perfect weather!
An April fools day prank was played on Dan. Somebody (wink, wink)
poured some oil onto the ground underneath Dans bike, and he was
convinced his bike was leaking oil. After we left the mountaintop, Dan was
observed checking his bike frequently looking for leaks…for some reason,
he was unable to locate one. After a nice lunch, we returned to our bikes
only to find that *somehow* Dans leak had miraculously stopped…but
Randy’s bike had started leaking…As a consolation for Dans leaking bike, I
offered him a lottery ticket that I had found in the restaurant…and guess
what? Dan scratched off a $10,000.00 winner! He was so excited that he
and Randy split from the group and rode home…I hope he doesn’t start
spending and $$ until he reads the small print on the back of the card…so
we rode home alongside Lake Chabot, and next to Palomares
Canyon…ending up in Niles at the Florence bar. Got home about 4:30.
